Puppies developing quickly
All the puppies are developing well. They are walking, no running around. We’ve started weaning them and they’re taking mashed up puppy food mixed with puppy milk.
Puppy Update
Our latest letter of puppies were born two weeks ago today.
Mother and puppies are doing well. Puppies are developing nicely. Some have tripled their birth weight and the others are not far off. Some have their eyes open and others are nearly there. Three are starting to try and walk.
Puppies have arrived
We’re really pleased to announce that Cielo’s puppies have arrived. Cielo gave birth to six lovely puppies on Sunday 9th March 2025.
Details of both parents are in the previous post.
They are all available for sale. They’ll be ready to go to new homes from 4th May 2025.

Cielo is pregnant with puppies. She was scanned on Thursday 6th February. Should be five or six puppies if all goes well.

2024 successes.
We’ve had a great year showing all three dogs at, mainly, championship shows and a few open shows.
At championship shows in 2024 Ricco took four best of breed awards making him the most successful British bred dog of 2024. Cielo took five best bitch awards, more than any other bitch and Rosa had one best bitch award. Of those shows we ended up with a couple of best dog and best bitch at the same show!

Big win for Ricco
We’ve just had a successful day at the Merseyside Gundog Club open show on 12Nivember 2023.
All three of ours won their classes. Ricco went on to win Best of Breed then, with all the other best of breed winners, he went on to be awarded Reserve Best in Show.
This win is on top of his two best of breed wins at championship shows this year.

Crufts 2023
It’s always a good and busy day out at Crufts showing our dogs. As some of you know the weather was not kind. The logistics of getting three dogs and all the paraphernalia that goes with dog showing is difficult enough but when you have too walk three clean dogs from the car in the snow and grot from the car park to the halls…… you don’t end up with clean dogs.
it was great to see so many of our dog showing friends and a good number of owners/handlers from Europe. It was the European dogs that dominated the Lagotto results with the very successful “Orca” ,Kan Trace Very Cheeky Chic, being awarded best of breed and going on to win first place in the group competition.
What of our dogs? Ricco was entered in the Open Dog class having had so many first places in 2022 but was not placed. Cielo was entered in the junior bitch class having just missed staying in puppy by less than two weeks. Again, she was not placed. Probably being so young compared with the others in the class. Rosa was entered in Limit Bitch. She came away with Very Highly Commended, which is 5th place. We also entered her into the Good Citizen Bitch Class and she got a third place.
